Motorola is poised to re-enter the laptop and tablet market, with the unveiling of their first laptop, the Moto Book 60, and a new tablet, the Moto Pad 60 Pro, scheduled for tomorrow, April 17, 2025. This marks a significant step for the Lenovo-owned brand as it expands its product portfolio beyond smartphones.

The Moto Book 60 is designed to be a sleek and portable device, weighing in at just 1.4 kg. It will be available in two Pantone-curated colors: Bronze Green and Wedge Wood. The laptop sports a 14-inch 2.8K OLED display with a peak brightness of 500 nits. The display is also expected to feature slim bezels. Powering the Moto Book 60 is an Intel Core 7 processor. The laptop will also feature a 60Wh battery and support 65W USB-C fast charging. For audio, the Moto Book 60 includes dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support.

The Moto Book 60 will also feature Smart Connect, Smart Clipboard, and File Transfer. Smart Connect allows users to seamlessly link compatible devices, creating a digital ecosystem. The Smart Clipboard enables effortless copying and pasting of content across devices, while the File Transfer feature facilitates quick file sharing. Some reports suggest the laptop's design borrows heavily from Lenovo's IdeaPad Slim 5 Gen 10.

The Moto Pad 60 Pro is designed for media consumption and productivity, featuring a 12.7-inch LCD panel with a 3K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. The tablet is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8300 chipset and packs a 10,200mAh battery with 45W fast charging, which Motorola claims can last up to 10 hours. The Moto Pad 60 Pro also features a quad-speaker setup tuned by JBL with Dolby Atmos support. The tablet will ship with Android 15 and include the Moto Pen Pro stylus. The stylus features ultra-low latency, 4096 pressure levels, tilt detection, palm rejection, and a battery life of up to 35 hours.

The Moto Pad 60 Pro has a 13MP rear camera with an LED flash. The volume buttons are located on the right side, while the power button, speaker vents, and a SIM tray are on the top, confirming 4G/5G support. The bottom of the tablet features a USB Type-C port and additional speaker vents.

Both the Moto Book 60 and Moto Pad 60 Pro will be available for purchase exclusively through Flipkart in India. Pricing details and full specifications are expected to be revealed during the official launch event. The launch in India is scheduled for April 17th.

With the launch of the Moto Book 60 and Moto Pad 60 Pro, Motorola aims to provide a well-rounded mobile experience, targeting both productivity-focused users and those seeking immersive entertainment. It remains to be seen how these devices will be positioned in the market and whether they will eventually be available in other regions.
