Apple has recently unveiled its latest smartwatches, including the Watch Series 11, SE 3, and Ultra 3, during its annual September event. These new models offer a range of upgrades and features, catering to different users and needs. All the new Apple Watches are available for preorder and will be released on September 19, 2025.

Apple Watch Series 11

The Apple Watch Series 11 is the successor to the Series 10, maintaining a familiar design but introducing several enhancements. It will be available in 42mm and 46mm sizes, with aluminum and titanium case options. Color options include jet black, rose gold, silver, and a new space gray for the aluminum models, and natural, gold, and slate for the titanium versions.

One of the most notable improvements is the enhanced durability, featuring Ion-X strengthened glass with a ceramic coating, making the display twice as scratch-resistant compared to the previous generation aluminum models. The Series 11 also boasts up to 24 hours of battery life with fast charging support; a quick 15-minute charge can provide up to 8 hours of use.

In terms of health features, the Apple Watch Series 11 includes ECG, irregular rhythm notifications, and a new Sleep Score system. A standout feature is the Hypertension Notifications, which passively analyzes heart sensor data over 30 days to detect blood vessel response anomalies and discreetly notify the user of potential hypertension. It also has 5G connectivity. The starting price for the Apple Watch Series 11 (42mm) is $399.

Apple Watch SE 3

The Apple Watch SE 3 is the latest iteration of Apple's more affordable smartwatch option. It offers a balance of essential features and performance at a lower price point. It is expected to be released on September 19, 2025.

The Apple Watch SE 3 is powered by the S10 chip, enabling an Always-On display, the double tap and wrist flick gestures, on-device Siri, and fast charging. It also offers 5G cellular capabilities and a more durable cover glass.

The Apple Watch SE 3 has watchOS 26, a new software design with Liquid Glass, Workout Buddy powered by Apple Intelligence, and new watch faces. Workout Buddy analyzes a user's workout data and fitness history to deliver personalized, spoken motivation throughout their session, based on data like heart rate, pace, distance, Activity rings, and personal fitness milestones.

The Apple Watch SE 3 (40mm) starts at $249.

Apple Watch Ultra 3

The Apple Watch Ultra 3 is designed for sports and adventure, featuring a larger display, satellite connectivity, and a long battery life. It has a 49mm titanium case and is available in natural and black titanium finishes.

The Ultra 3 boasts the largest Apple Watch display yet, utilizing LTPO3 wide-angle OLED technology with thinner bezels for a larger active screen area. The display emits more light at wider angles, enhancing readability. It also features a 1Hz always-on display.

Battery life is a key focus, offering 42 hours of standard use, up to 72 hours in low power mode, and 20 hours with full GPS and heart rate monitoring. Fast charging allows for up to 12 hours of use with just 15 minutes of charge.

Connectivity is another highlight, with two-way satellite communication for SOS alerts, messaging, and location sharing without Wi-Fi or cellular. The Ultra 3 also includes safety features like crash detection, fall detection, and emergency SOS alerts via satellite. Health features include hypertension monitoring and a Sleep Score system, similar to the Series 11.

The Apple Watch Ultra 3 includes an Ultra-exclusive Waypoint watch face. It also has a new Workout app with improved training metrics and Workout Buddy, a first-of-its-kind fitness experience powered by Apple Intelligence. The starting price for the Apple Watch Ultra 3 is $799.
