Apple has officially launched its third retail store in India, named Apple Hebbal, in Bengaluru on September 2, 2025. This marks the company's first store in South India, joining Apple BKC in Mumbai and Apple Saket in Delhi. The store is located at Phoenix Mall of Asia in North Bengaluru.

Store Design and Features

The Apple Hebbal store boasts Apple's signature minimalist design, featuring a large glass facade and smooth oak wood tables. Spanning approximately 8,000 square feet, the store has an open layout with dedicated counters for iPhones, MacBooks, iMacs, iPads, Apple TVs, and Apple Watches, along with accessories like Apple Pencil and AirTags. It also includes a unified counter for device pickup and a Genius Bar for technical support. The tables near the Genius Bar have smart sensors-powered retractable power sockets.

The store is carbon neutral and operates on 100% renewable energy. Apple has signed a 10-year lease for the space, with an annual rent of approximately ₹2.09 crore.

Team and Language Support

Apple Hebbal is staffed by a diverse team of 70 specialists from 15 states across India. They can communicate with customers in Kannada, Hindi, and 25 other regional languages. Wendy Beckman, VP of Apple Retail, emphasized that the team is there to ensure that people switching to iOS feel secure and safe.

Services and Experiences

The store offers several services and experiences, including:

  • Today at Apple Sessions: Educational tutorials on using Apple products, including Apple Intelligence features, video editing, and digital art on iPads.
  • Personalized Shopping Sessions: Customers can book sessions with Apple Specialists.
  • Genius Bar: Expert technical support.
  • Apple Pickup: A dedicated area for customers to collect online orders.
  • Business Team: Dedicated support and guidance for enterprise owners of all sizes.
  • Personalization Options: Engraving on Apple Pencils, iPads, AirPods, and AirTags.

Strategic Significance

The opening of Apple Hebbal underscores the growing importance of India in Apple's global strategy. The company aims to tap into the vast potential of the Indian market by creating more physical touchpoints for consumers. Apple's retail strategy in India focuses on providing comprehensive customer support, fostering community engagement, and creating immersive brand experiences.

The store's location in Bengaluru, known as India's technology capital, is particularly strategic. The city contributes significantly to India's premium smartphone sales. By establishing a retail presence in Bengaluru, Apple aims to strengthen its position in the market and attract a more diverse customer base.

Future Expansion

Apple plans to further expand its retail presence in India, with stores slated to open in Pune and Delhi-NCR. This expansion reflects Apple's commitment to the Indian market and its ambition to capture a larger share of the country's burgeoning technology market.
