Brinc, a Seattle-based drone manufacturer specializing in public safety solutions, has secured $75 million in a new funding round. The investment aims to accelerate the development and production of its emergency response drones, meet increasing demand from public safety agencies, advance research and development for next-generation drone technology, and expand its workforce to support continued growth and innovation.

The funding round was led by Index Ventures, with participation from Motorola Solutions, Mike Volpi, and Dylan Field, CEO of Figma. This latest influx of capital brings Brinc's total funding to $157.2 million to date.

Brinc plans to use the funds to scale its team and increase drone production. The company already serves hundreds of police, fire, and emergency response agencies in the U.S., with more than 10% of the nation's SWAT teams utilizing Brinc drones for tactical operations. The additional funding will allow the company to meet the rising demand for drones that can help de-escalate dangerous situations and improve situational awareness.

A key element of this announcement is the new strategic alliance between Brinc and Motorola Solutions. Through this partnership, Brinc drones will be integrated with Motorola's suite of public safety tools. These include APX radios, VESTA 911 software, Computer-Aided Dispatch systems, Real-Time Crime Center software (CommandCentral Aware), and Automatic License Plate Recognition technology. With these tools working together, first responders will be able to deploy drones more quickly. For example, drones can launch at the press of a button on a police radio or in response to a sensor alert. The drones can then provide real-time video and data to command centers through Motorola's systems.

Blake Resnick, founder and CEO of Brinc, stated that the company will continue building world-class emergency response drones to meet the growing demand for its life-saving technologies.

Vlad Loktev, partner at Index Ventures, expressed confidence in Brinc's transformative vision, noting that the company's technology has redefined how public safety agencies handle critical incidents. Motorola Solutions also shares the same mission as Brinc - to help protect and save lives.

Founded in 2019, Brinc develops drones and related technologies for police, fire, and emergency response agencies. The company manufactures its drones entirely in the U.S., with integrated R&D and production facilities giving it complete control over its supply chain.
