Lava has launched its latest smartphone, the Blaze AMOLED 2, aiming to disrupt the budget segment with a compelling blend of features and a sleek design. The phone is set to go on sale starting August 16th, 2025, both online and across Lava's retail network.

Display and Design:

The Blaze AMOLED 2 boasts a 6.67-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. This promises vibrant colors, deep blacks, and smooth scrolling, enhancing the overall user experience. Encased in a slim 7.55mm body, Lava is touting the phone as the slimmest in its segment. The design, which Lava calls "Linea Design," features a horizontally aligned rear camera module. The phone will be available in two colors: Midnight Black and Feather White.

Camera:

Photography is a key focus of the Blaze AMOLED 2, featuring a 50MP rear camera with a Sony IMX752 sensor. This sensor is expected to deliver improved image quality and clarity. An 8MP front-facing camera caters to selfie enthusiasts and video calls. The rear camera is accompanied by an LED flash.

Performance and Software:

Under the hood, the Lava Blaze AMOLED 2 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7060 chipset. This processor, coupled with 6GB of LPDDR5 RAM (which can be virtually expanded by another 6GB) and 128GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage, should ensure smooth multitasking and quick app loading. The phone runs on a clean, ad-free version of Android 15 out of the box. Lava is promising one major Android OS upgrade (to Android 16) and two years of security updates.

Battery and Other Features:

The device is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery, supported by 33W fast charging via a USB Type-C port. It also includes an in-display fingerprint scanner for enhanced security. Additional features include dual stereo speakers, a dedicated cooling chamber for thermal management, and an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance.

Pricing and Availability:

The Lava Blaze AMOLED 2 is priced at Rs. 13,499 for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage configuration. It will be available for purchase on Amazon and through Lava's retail network starting August 16th. Lava is also offering doorstep after-sales service for the device.

With its focus on display quality, camera capabilities, and a long-lasting battery, the Lava Blaze AMOLED 2 aims to provide a feature-rich experience at an accessible price point.
