Motorola has officially released the Moto G86 Power in India on July 30, 2025, adding a new contender to the competitive sub-₹20,000 smartphone market. The device aims to strike a balance between performance and affordability, offering a compelling set of features for its price point.
The Moto G86 Power arrives in a single configuration, featuring 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, priced at ₹17,999. It will be available for purchase starting August 6, 2025, via Flipkart, Motorola's official website, and major retail outlets. Color options include Cosmic Sky, Golden Cypress, and Spellbound, all featuring a vegan leather finish. Launch offers include discounts of up to ₹1,500 on select bank cards.
The phone boasts a 6.67-inch Super HD pOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The display has a peak brightness of 4,500 nits and supports HDR10+ and 10-bit color. It also has Gorilla Glass 7i protection.
Under the hood, the Moto G86 Power is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chipset. The device comes with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM, which can be virtually expanded up to 24GB using RAM Boost 3.0. The internal storage of 128GB is expandable up to 1TB via a microSD card.
For photography, the Moto G86 Power features a triple rear camera setup headlined by a 50MP Sony LYT-600 sensor. An 8MP ultrawide lens with macro mode and a 3-in-1 flicker sensor also accompany the primary sensor. The front-facing camera is a 32MP sensor for selfies and video calls. The rear camera supports 4K video recording on all lenses.
The Moto G86 Power packs a large 6,720mAh battery with 33W TurboPower charging support. The phone is rated IP68 and IP69 for dust and water resistance and meets MIL-STD-810H military-grade standards for durability.
The device ships with Hello UI based on Android 15. Motorola is promising one year of OS upgrades and three years of security updates. Additional features include dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, Hi-Res Audio certification, Smart Connect 2.0, Moto Gestures, Family Space 3.0, and 13 5G bands. It also supports features like a three-finger screenshot, chop action for flashlight, and twist action to launch the camera.
