Lava Blaze Dragon 5G: Affordable 5G Smartphone Debuts in India at Just Rs 9,999

Lava has launched its latest budget-friendly 5G smartphone, the Blaze Dragon 5G, in India on July 25, 2025. This new offering is priced at just Rs 9,999 and aims to bring 5G connectivity to the masses. The phone is available in a single configuration of 4GB RAM and 128GB storage.

Design and Display:

The Lava Blaze Dragon 5G features a simple yet modern design and comes in two colors: Golden Mist and Midnight Mist. It sports a 6.74-inch HD+ (720 x 1,612 pixels) LCD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and a brightness of over 450 nits. The display also has a 20:9 aspect ratio.

Performance and Hardware:

Under the hood, the device is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, built on a 4nm process. This processor features two high-performance cores at 2.2GHz and six efficiency cores. It also comes with an Adreno 613 GPU. The phone has 4GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage, which is expandable via a microSD card. The Lava Blaze Dragon 5G runs on Android 15. Lava promises one Android upgrade and two years of security updates for the device.

Camera:

For photography, the Lava Blaze Dragon 5G features a dual rear camera setup with a 50MP primary camera and an LED flash. There is also an 8MP front camera for selfies and video calls.

Battery and Other Features:

The device is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 18W charging support. It also includes a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a 3.5mm audio jack, and FM Radio. The phone supports 5G, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.4, GPS + GLONASS, and has a USB Type-C Port.

Availability and Launch Offers:

The Lava Blaze Dragon 5G will be available for purchase on Amazon starting August 1. As part of the launch offer, buyers can get an additional Rs 1,000 exchange bonus. There is also a Rs 1,000 bank discount available through Amazon's partner banks during its Great Freedom Festival sale. Lava is also offering free service at home for the Blaze Dragon 5G, pan India, alongside attending to user concerns at retail outlets.
