MSI's Prestige 13 AI+ Ukiyo-e Edition laptop captured attention with its stunning design, featuring "The Great Wave off Kanagawa" artwork. This collaboration with a Japanese lacquerware company showcased a blend of technology and art, making it a visually striking device.

PCs: Compact Designs and AI-Driven Features

The PC segment at Computex 2025 demonstrated a focus on compact designs and AI-driven functionalities. MSI's Cubi NUC AI+ 2M, a mini desktop, integrated Intel's Lunar Lake processors with built-in neural processing units to enhance AI performance using Microsoft's Copilot+ software. This compact PC also included built-in microphones for voice commands and a fingerprint reader for added security.

ASUS impressed with its Tough Gaming T500 desktop, which utilized a laptop-grade Intel H series CPU and a compact tower design to reduce power consumption and size while maintaining strong gaming performance with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 Ti.

Global spending on generative AI is projected to reach US$644 billion in 2025, underscoring the importance of AI as a standard feature in future consumer electronics. NVIDIA, Qualcomm, Foxconn, MediaTek, and other tech giants delivered keynote speeches emphasizing the transformative impact of AI across industries. Several companies introduced AI-focused products and services. Pegatron showcased its capabilities in human-machine integration with interactive biomimetic robot dogs and immersive VR devices. MSI focused on enterprise AI workloads and rack integration. Phison demoed its new E28 controller, which significantly reduces power consumption in SSDs, facilitating the integration of PCIe 5.0 SSDs into mainstream laptops.

The company also introduced the ProArt 16 (2025), a content-creation powerhouse combining top-tier AI capabilities with professional-grade components, including an AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 CPU and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070.

Despite the excitement surrounding AI, some attendees expressed skepticism about the practical benefits of AI in certain applications, particularly in gaming PCs.
