Samsung has recently launched its Bespoke AI Top Load Washer, marking the introduction of AI technology to its top load washer category. These new models are available in 25-inch, 24-inch and 21-inch capacities and aim to deliver an intelligent, efficient, and quiet washing experience to a broader consumer base.

The Bespoke AI Top Load Washer integrates three key AI-powered functions: AI Wash, AI Energy Mode, and AI Vibration Reduction Technology Plus (VRT+™).

AI Wash is designed to optimize the washing process by intelligently sensing the fabric type and weight of each load. By leveraging this data, the washer recommends the most appropriate settings, including water level, agitation intensity, and washing and rinsing durations. For delicate items, AI Wash employs a gentle washing approach to minimize wear and tear, providing enhanced fabric protection. For heavier fabrics, it ensures a thorough and residue-free cleaning.

AI Energy Mode, accessible through Samsung's SmartThings Energy platform, allows users to reduce energy consumption by up to 20%. This feature optimizes energy usage without compromising washing performance, contributing to cost savings and environmental sustainability. The AI Energy Mode is available on Normal, AI Wash, Super Clean, Jeans, Aqua Preserve, Towels, and Clean Wash cycles.

AI VRT+™ technology minimizes noise and vibration during operation. The system analyzes signals from the washer and transmits them to an AI server, which identifies the type of flooring the washer is placed on. An AI algorithm then calculates the optimal settings to ensure quieter operation, regardless of the floor conditions.

In addition to the core AI features, the Bespoke AI Top Load Washer includes several other technologies aimed at enhancing performance and convenience. Ecobubble technology, incorporating BubbleStorm and Dual Storm features, dissolves detergent into foam for quicker and deeper fabric penetration. This technology reduces fabric damage, uses less energy and water, and improves fabric care. Hygiene Steam utilizes hot water and steam to eliminate bacteria and stubborn stains without requiring pre-treatment. The Super Speed Mode completes a full load in as little as 31 minutes while maintaining high washing standards.

SmartThings connectivity enables users to remotely manage their washing machine for added convenience. Users can monitor the washer, start or stop cycles, and receive end-of-cycle alerts via their smartphones.

The Digital Inverter Motor, backed by a 20-year warranty, ensures long-lasting durability and reliable performance. The new washers come in five color options — Black Caviar, Deep Charcoal, Lavender Gray, White, and Brushed Navy.

Jeong Seung Moon, EVP and Head of the R&D Team at Digital Appliances Business at Samsung Electronics, stated that the company is excited to expand its AI-driven washing technologies to the top-loading category, making convenient washing experiences accessible to more consumers. He emphasized that features like AI Wash, AI Energy Mode, and AI VRT+™ enhance the washing experience by improving fabric care, energy efficiency, and quieter operation.
