OnePlus is gearing up to launch its newest flagship tablet, the OnePlus Pad 3, globally on June 5th. The company has confirmed that the device will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, promising a significant performance boost. The launch event is scheduled for 8:30 AM CEST (12 PM IST).

The OnePlus Pad 3 is expected to be a rebranded version of the OnePlus Pad 2 Pro, which was recently launched in China. This suggests that the Pad 3 will boast a 13.2-inch LCD display with a 3.4K resolution (2,400 x 3,392 pixels), a 144Hz refresh rate, and 900 nits of peak brightness, along with Dolby Vision support. The tablet is expected to run on Android 15-based ColorOS 15.

Under the hood, the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor will be paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 internal storage. A substantial 12,140mAh battery with 67W SuperVOOC fast charging is expected to keep the device powered throughout the day. For thermal management, the tablet may feature a 34,857 sq mm cooling system.

In terms of photography, the OnePlus Pad 3 is likely to sport a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera. Audio capabilities will be enhanced by an eight-speaker setup (four mid-bass units and four tweeters) with Dolby Atmos support.

OnePlus is also emphasizing enhanced multitasking capabilities with an upgraded Open Canvas feature, allowing users to run up to three applications simultaneously on screen. Furthermore, the Pad 3 will offer seamless iOS syncing, a feature previously unavailable on Android tablets from the brand. The design of the OnePlus Pad 3 is expected to be similar to the Pad 2 Pro, and it will support a keyboard and stylus, which will likely be sold separately. The tablet will be available in a Storm Blue color.

While the exact markets for the OnePlus Pad 3 launch haven't been specified, it's expected to arrive in North America (US and Canada), Europe, and the UK. Pre-orders are expected to begin on launch day, with early-bird discounts and incentives available on the OnePlus website. The launch of the OnePlus Pad 3 coincides with the OnePlus 13s launch in India, although details regarding the Pad 3's India availability remain unclear.
